The mossy surface was achieved with a wash of both acid and concrete stains. Over time you can expect the sculpture to develop its own natural patina.
Weather resistance is achieved by the use of air entailments, (minimizes the size and spread of air bubbles), fibers, (enhances tensile strength) water proofer ( prevents water from seeping into the pores of the concrete), and concrete sealer (a final layer of protection). A slow and extended curing time also works to strengthen the concrete. Your sculpture will be safe outside during the winter.
